Los Ratones, along with G2 Esports, Karmine Corp, Gentle Mates and NNO will be taking on T1 for the second edition of the Red Bull League of its Own. The event will take place on Sunday 15 December at the Accor Arena in Paris. In only one month of existence, the team founded by former pro gamer turned streamer and caster Marc “Caedrel” Lamont will take on the current League of Legends World Champions.

Los Ratones are currently engaged in their first competition: the NNO Cup, a tournament hosted by No Need Orga featuring all-star teams with streamers and pro players. The team is off to a good start, having already qualified for the Upper Bracket Final, where they will face the tournament favorites this Tuesday: French Flair.
While Caedrel has so far taken the place of European legend Martin “Rekkles” Larsson – who’s taking a break – in the support role, the latter will be making his grand return to the stage on 15 December.

Rekkles, who accompanied T1 throughout their Worlds campaign as sixth man, will be their next opponent in a showmatch. In fact, he spent the whole year with the T1 Academy, and likely has been rubbing shoulders with the Korean stars for the whole of 2024. He will end this year on a high note by testing himself against them – before starting a new chapter with Los Ratones, probably in the NLC.
However, the quintet that won Worlds back-to-back are not expected to be complete for the Red Bull League of its Own. Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon will most likely be making his international debut in his new colours, giving the audience their first glimpse of DOFGK.

Obviously, this is a showmatch, so I don’t expect to see any extremely competitive games, but rather to simply have fun, and throw in some practice. Most of the teams will be coming with very little training under their belts. What’s more, three of the five teams taking on T1 (LR, NNO and M8) are expected to be playing in the ERL next year and are therefore supposedly a very long way from the world champions’ level
That said, when it comes to Karmine Corp and G2 Esports, it will most likely be the teams they are lining up in the LEC for 2025 that will be performing on stage. Once again, the outcome of the matches will have little bearing on what awaits us in the LEC Winter Split, but it will still be interesting to analyze the new dynamics within these teams. Maybe even to gauge – at least in terms of laning – whether they have what it takes to compete with the best in the world.
