This is everything you need to know about the LEC Spring Split 2026, which will see the ten LEC teams compete for two spots at the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) 2026. The split will also feature two roadshows: the first one in France at Les Arènes and hosted by Karmine Corp, followed by the event at the Madrid Arena organized by Movistar KOI.

The Spring Split will therefore begin six days after the conclusion of the First Stand, which will take place from March 16 to 22 in São Paulo, Brazil, a competition in which G2 Esports will participate. The regular season will run from March 28 to May 10, with the roadshows scheduled from April 24 to 26 in France and from May 8 to 10 in Spain, all played in BO3 format.
The playoffs will take place from May 23 to June 7, with the final deciding the MSI seeding for the two best European teams. A major downside is that Mondays during the regular season will no longer include a live audience due to lower in-arena attendance, while production costs remain the same regardless of ticket sales.
Tickets for the first three weeks of the regular season are already available. Each ticket will cost €15 and can be purchased on the official ticket website. Tickets for the finals will range from €20 to €30 each.
In the Winter Split, eight teams made the playoffs, but this time there will only be six. The regular season will consist of a single round robin over seven weeks of Best-of-Threes, giving teams more time to perform and prove they have what it takes for the playoffs, which will use a double-elimination bracket.
Spring will also follow the First Selection ruleset, which was implemented for all regional and international LoL Esports events starting in 2026. Teams that were previously awarded side selection will now receive First Selection, giving them the option to select first or second in the draft as well as which side to play on (Blue or Red).

While both finalists will qualify for MSI, only the winner will earn a direct spot in the Esports World Cup 2026. All ten teams will also take part in the EWC Qualifier Phase 2 alongside the LEC Spring Split, which will run from April 28 to May 17. This qualifier will also pit them against the two best non-academic teams from the EMEA Masters Winter Split, with the finalists earning a trip to Riyadh for the EWC.
