League of Legends Patch 25.11 is set to come with major changes to Garen: find out what the changes are and the implications for the champion going forward.
Patch 25.10 has been officially released on May 14, which means the game devs are turning their eyes to the next update, the League of Legends Patch 25.11. While the devs are still looking to evaluate the evolution of the meta in the current patch, they have been looking to make some tweaks to Garen.
The top lane champion has been finding too much success with his crit damage build, dealing absurd amounts of damage in 1v1s while retaining tank-like resistances. With that in mind, Riot is looking to nerf the crit build in favor of his AD bruiser build.
Check out the exact number changes below but here are the main takeaways from the planned tweaks:
Overall, this should make his crit build weaker since Garen won’t be as tanky and act more like a proper bruiser. The main concern is that the changes might make Garen even weaker than he already is early on.
On May 20, Riot Phroxzon shared the preview list of changes coming for the patch. According to the game designer, the team thinks the game is in “a pretty good steady state right now”, which is why they are looking to make power-neutral changes to a few champions, including less popular picks like Kassadin and Samira. Only one item (Horizon Focus) is being changed following the AP overhaul in the last patch. Below you can find all the planned changes.
