Who will be reign supreme in the LCP 2025 Finals? A preview heading to Da Nang

LCP 2025 Finals – 3 Teams, 1 Winner

Launched by Riot Games and Carry International earlier this season, the LCP is the newly formed major region in the LoL Esports ecosystem. Replaces the previous minor regions, which include VCS (Vietnam), PCS (Taiwan), and LJL (Japan), and OCE (Oceania), the LCP had the main goal of gathering the most competitive teams from each region and raising the overall competitive level.

After 9 months of battles, the LCP has already locked in their Worlds 2025 teams: CTBC Flying Oyster (CFO), PSG Talon (PSG), and Team Secret Whales (TSW). These three teams will be squaring off in the offline event in Da Nang this weekend to crown the 2025 LCP champions.

No GAM Time

The big surprise from the LCP season is the early elimination of the Vietnamese team GAM Esports, who were dominated by TSW in the lower bracket with a 3-0 score. After taking part in the Mid-Season Invitational earlier this year, the squad will not represent the region in China next month. This result will inevitably dash hopes for the home crowd, who will now have to cheer on TSW for the championship.

Who’s going to win?

Based on the historic records and recent performances, CFO are still the team to beat in the LCP. Despite having some hiccups in some matches, the team is unquestionably the team with the highest ceiling of the three. The team has become the first-ever squad to take part in all international tournaments in a season since the introduction of the three-split structure, further showcasing their consistency throughout the year.

Having said that, TSW are coming with strong momentum. The Vietnamese team destroyed GAM and could upset PSG in the lower bracket with the help of the home crowd. The team is full of youngsters, with jungler Lê “Hizto” Văn Hoàng Hải having just turned 18 this week. The team has big margins of improvement and it will come down to the veteran duo of Karsa and Maple to stop them if they want to get their revenge on CFO.

LCP 2025 Finals Weekend won’t be just competition

Just like most live events nowadays, competition is only a part of the entertainment. Throughout the two-day event at the Tien Son Sport Centre, the LCP will host a series of activations, including an artist valley to showcase fan-made artworks and the LoL community’s creativity and merchandise (hoodies, t-shirts, tote bags, caps, pins, keychains, plushies, collectible figures).

Additionally, there will be team booths from five LCP teams (CFO, PSG, TSW, GAM, and MVKE) and a dedicated League of Legends Booth featuring Doom Bots Challenges, Teamfight Tactics play stations,  and the T1 Championship Skins.
