ExpressVPN has officially announced the renewal of the partnership with Riot Games’ LEC, as well as becoming the new partner for VALORANT Esports in EMEA and Americas. Moreover, the company also locked in G2 Esports and Method as new partners.
According to a release, ExpressVPN will be featured across moments and platforms during competitions. Moreover, the company will also launch its own gaming social channel. No details on other activations were disclosed.
The partnership between Riot Games and the VPN service company started in 2025, when the latter joined as the LEC Summer Split Partner and was also featured in the EUphoria podcast, which, however, has been discontinued. Despite that, the brand will expand to three leagues, with a heavy focus on the Western audience. Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed.
ExpressVPN has a long-standing presence in the esports space. Back in 2020, the service company partnered with the North American team Dignitas and the Pittsburgh Knights. It now has two more esports teams: G2 Esports, which is mainly known for its success in both League of Legends and VALORANT, and Method, a team focused on World of Warcraft (WoW).
On Riot Games’ side, the game publisher can count on one more partner in the 2026 campaign, which already counts on the support of automotive maker Kia, KitKat, LG UltraGear, Marriott Bonvoy, Euronics, Secretlab, Red Bull, and HyperX.
Charlie Allen, EMEA Director, Commercial Partnerships & Business Development at Riot Games, commented on the announcement: “We’re excited to extend our LEC partnership with ExpressVPN and build on it further with a new partnership with VCT EMEA and VCT Americas. For us, esports is about more than just competition. It is a culture shaped by community and connection. ExpressVPN shares this mindset and is investing in the environments that matter most to our players and fans. We’re looking forward to delivering meaningful activations and exclusive rewards that truly resonate with our EMEA esports communities.”
