Ahead of the start of First Stand, Davide had a small chat with BNK FearX (BFX) top laner Song “Clear” Hyeon-min as he gets ready for his international tournament in his career.

Davide: First of all, welcome. How was the travel to Brazil?

How have you been the past few days and are you someone who suffers from jet lag?

BFX Clear: Honestly, just to give you a breakdown of our travel, we spent 24 hours on air and had about a 12-hour layover at the airport. So, before we went on our journey to go to Brazil, we were quite concerned and I was honestly also very worried about the jet lag as well, just because of the total travel time. But now that we’re here, it feels like I’m actually really used to the jet lag and I’m feeling great.

Davide: That’s very good news. First Stand is your first international tournament.

What are you looking forward to in particular? Is there any specific goal you have in mind for this event?

Clear: I recently went to Hong Kong, but it was my first time playing internationally, so I think I was a little excited. And just going overseas every time I go, just that practice and just having a lot of that time that we have to set aside for shoots, it’s honestly a lot of fun. My goal is to get as good results as possible and play for a long time so that I can experience these types of things as much as I can.

Davide: You will be going against BLG (BiliBili Gaming) in the opener. I saw you also had a jersey exchange with Bin yesterday.

How did that go and then did you tell anything in particular to each other?

Clear: Yeah, honestly, there is some language barrier there and maybe it’s because gamers are a bit shy, so we didn’t talk to each other that much. But at the very end, when we were told to say something to wrap it up, we just said, “Let’s have a great match”.

Davide: Speaking of the match,

What do you think will be the key to win[ning] against BLG?

Clear: The game… I think the bigger the stage gets, you just have to focus on all five players playing well and just being able to play a little better than the opponent in order to win. So it’s not a good idea to rely on just one side of the map or anything like that. So I think that I have to carry out my own job the best I can, and I just have to focus on myself the most.

Davide: I would like to get to know you a little bit more. Is there anyone in particular who influenced or inspired you to pursue this pro player career?

Clear: In many ways, I think the player who influenced me the most was Diable. The character is special, it’s a character I’ve never met before, and he has passion, and I guess, just the competitiveness like none other.

Davide: One year ago, BFX was dead last in the 2025 LCK Cup, with no wins on the scoreboard. One year later, you’re here in Brazil, after beating T1 and Dplus Kia to get to the LCK Cup Final and qualify for First Stand.

Considering where it all started, what does it mean to you to be here?

Clear: When we lost last year, the atmosphere was very bad and I think I had a lot of thoughts, but this year, I think there were a lot of lucky elements, but I think we are also trying our best to do what is given to us and I think just being able to keep true to yourself and just try our best, it’s what really carries everything forward.

Davide: Thank you a lot Clear and good luck with the match tomorrow.

Clear: Thank you.
