Infinity Ward delayed season four’s release by a week in response to the death of George Floyd which sparked dozens of protests against police brutality and systemic racism. A Black Lives Matter message was also added to the loading screens in Call of Duty as a sign of support of the growing movement.

The Call of Duty League also delayed the Minnesota Rokkr Home Series event in response to the protests occurring around the country.

Season four now has an official release date and fans can expect a lot of new content. Captain Price and Gaz will likely be making their debut as playable operators, and new maps are predicted to be added throughout the season. The fan favorite map Scrapyard was teased in the season four trailer, but it is unclear if it will be released at the beginning of the new season.

The new season will also introduce a brand new battle pass with 100 tiers for players to unlock. The unlockable content will likely include weapons, operator skins, watches, blueprints, and other various cosmetic items.

The Warzone map might also receive changes, but this has not been officially confirmed. The map has not received any major changes since its release, but players have found a nuke in one of the bunkers which might hint that at least part of the map will be destroyed.

Players will likely need to download a large update when it is released. There are still a few hours left before season three ends, so make sure to finish any last minute challenges before it is too late.
