When is FNCS Major 1 2026?

When will FNCS Major 1 2026 take place? The whole thing has taken a long time to start up. We expected it last season, but have had to wait until Season 2 for it to actually start. After a huge off-season, FNCS Major 1 2026 will start up soon. When can you follow along?

The opening Div Cups have already begun. These are pretty much qualifiers though, not great to watch and not broadcast. Instead, most get involved once we get down to the heats, or even the finals in some cases. if you prefer to wait until the climatic rounds, this is when FNCS Major 1 2026 is going to take place:

FNCS Major 1 2026

The current FNCS Major 1 2026 is already under way in its earliest rounds. The format for each Major has a few different stages. It starts with more open events before the participants wind down as we get closer to the finals. Where only the best players in Fortnite esports for each region qualify. These are:

Div Cups

The first round and the closest thing to open qualifiers we get anymore. This round has Duos competeing through weekly Cup events. The top-ranking players move up, lowest move down. At the end, the teams in Division 1 go ahead to the actual next stage.

Heats

The Div Cups narrow down things, but kt’s still a lot of players who make it this far. The FNCS is only or the best Fortnite players so we get Heats to see who has made finals. The bigger Fortnite regions get three and the smaller ones only get two. All see 100 players make the FNCS Major 1 2026 finals though.

These are 3-hour sessions of 5 games. Teams qualify based on placement and elims, with wins moving them forward as well as consistency. These are the dates for the heats this month:

• 12th April – Heat 1
• 18th April -Heat 2
• 19th April – Heat 3

FNCS Major 1 2026 Last Chance Lobby

The final stage gives a second chance to everyone who missed out in the heats. This is the last opportunity to make it to the FNCS Major 1 2026 finals. Only a small number make it through and complete the 50 Duo lobby. This will run on April 21st this year.

FNCS Major 1 2026 Finals

This is the last stage, the FNCS Major 1 2026 finals. Here those teams go head-to-head in a lobby that lasts for a single weekend. The finals are going to take place on April 25-26th. Players will take part in a two-day format, with the best performing teams moving on.

This stage is what a lot of players mean by FNCS Major 1 2026. It’s the Grand Finals. This stage gets a full broadcast which is always fun to follow along with. Although the smaller Fortnite regions don’t get officially broadcast at all.

What Comes After?

Why is the FNCS Major 1 2026 happening so early? The tournament has to take place a bit ahead of time since the current Season is going to have more than one big event. The FNCS Major 1 2026 finals are just the precursor to this season’s LAN.

In an expanded format, we’re getting an international LAN to round out this season. The FNCS Major 1 Summit. It’ll be great to get a second international tournament to look forward to this year. The top-ranking teams from the Major 1 results will move forward into this Summit. Those FNCS Finals are the only chance at qualification. So there’s plenty at stake once FNCS Major 1 2026 actually begins.
