The Grefg Fortnite Skin Could be Getting a New Face

the next Fortnite update is going to introduce some older items back in Battle Royale. however, it’s past the original season end date. Which means content might be a little lighter. We’re still expecting tons in the item shop though. A Fortnite streamer is also hinting at a major change coming to their skin in the future too. One which could bring one of the oldest Icon Series skins up to date.

Grefg Fortnite Skin Could Be Updated Soon

The Fortnite Icon Series is where Epic showcases real world people in the world of Fortnite. As new skins anyone can buy in-game. It started with Ninja, who got a reactive skin that was drenched in his branding. We got more skins afterwards, but one of the first was Grefg. The streamer got a skin which was partially inspired by Dragon Ball, long before that became a Fortnite collab in the game proper. But over the years, that game has aged.

As time has gone on, the Fortnite Icon Series has changed. Early inclusions are often keen to point out all the differences between a modern skin and an old one. it’s not uncommon for new Icon releases to get multiple skins, multiple styles, other cosmetics, even Fortnite sidekicks.

While the old ones are usually just skins Sometimes, they got a harvesting tool, or an emote. But theGrefg Fortnite skin is on the older side.

It was one skin, and some extra items. But not as expansive as modern ones. Other older inclusions like Loserfruit are similarly stripped back releases. Bugha’s is incredibly plain too, but that might be down to design in that case. But the bigger issue with the Grefg Fortnite skin has always been the face. The streamer has long maintained it’s a bad likeness. It isn’t great. Especially compared to the modern Fortnite Icon Series skins we’ve seen.

Back then, Fortnite skins we’re as close to their real-world equivalents. Back then, Skins had a pretty generic face most of the time. Chapter 1 Batman is just Jonesy under the mask too. The Grefg one is particularly noticeable though, even compared to the very first skin. Which was Ninja, that had a better likeness.

It’s been a source of complaints for the Fortnite streamer. It could finally be changing. He’s been hinting that Epic is introducing a little more content for the streamer. Either as a new style, or a redesigned face. We don’t exactly know which.

Revisiting Fortnite Icon Skins

This would mark the first time Epic’s gone back to older Fortnite seasons releases for the Icon Series and expanded them. this could open the door to a lot more content in this series. A ton of the older Fortnite skins could get revisits. This might even have an incentive effect on some of the included streamers who no longer go near Fortnite.
