Fortnite Slapperoni Pizza Added as Team Ice King Hits New Milestone

Today has seen a new item unvaulted, the Fortnite Slapperoni Pizza. This is a fresh type of heal but one that’s a development on a much-loved past item. It has been unlocked as one of the two teams this season has boosted their way past yet another milestone. With one side of the game’s rivalry easily passing their goals.

The current Fortnite season divides players into two groups, Team Foundation and Team Ice King. Not 50/50 though. Since one team is Team Rock and the other is Team original skin, it’s been pretty heavily weighted towards the Ice King. Teams progress by completing Rivalry quests in-game. A mechanic pushing everyone to key non-stop. As they progress, they get access to Exotic weapons and move towards these overall goals.

This weekend saw a few of these milestones hit. As Team Foundation is still waiting around to unlock the Seven Cannon, Team Ice King has unlocked the Fortnite Slapperoni Pizza. It’s not the most exciting new item but it’ll be a fun new heal in the meta. It’s adding an extra detail to an item that worked well in the past. When it was added back in C3, the pizza party item seemed like a novelty but it turned out to be some of the best meds we’d gotten. This is how the new version works works.

What is the Fortnite Slapperoni Pizza?

The latest Fortnite update has enabled the Slapperoni Pizza item. This is a new version of the old Pizza Party in Fortnite. Players can now find it in-game.

It’s an item which lets you carry around a box of pizza. When you’re ready to use it throw it down and you can them collect slices. They heal HP or shield. They can also be taken from the pizza and carried separately. The big advantage of the Fortnite Slapperoni Pizza is how quick you eat it. Just like Fish and Vegetables, you can eat it much quicker than taking normal heals. Great for mid-fight top ups.

The Fortnite Slapperoni Pizza has a bit of a benefit beyond the normal Pizza too. It gives the Slap effect of unlimited stamina. This is an effect with a ton of items are giving out this season. Everything from the new Shockwaves, to interacting with a machine that just passively gives it out. Players will be very mobile.

The Fortnite Slapperoni Pizza isn’t quite as exciting as a new Rocket Launcher, but it’ll expand out the meds available this season. it’s a Fortnite meta which is putting the focus on the combat pretty much exclusively. Players are being incentivised to push non-stop, jumping from fight to fight. With items like the Fortnite Slapperoni Pizza in the game to make it even easier to hunt enemies down.

Where to Find the Fortnite Slapperoni Pizza

The Fortnite Slapperoni Pizza is a new item hailing from the Rivalry system rewards, but it isn’t just in the Rivalry machines. you’ll be able to find it in all of the normal locations. Including vending machines and other places to grab meds. However, the most consistent will be to trade in Rivalry credits like with Splashes.

This pizza is going to be all over for the rest of the season. Over the next week, we’ll probably see a few more of the rewards on the showdown track unlock. At the moment it seems Team ice King are unlocking their rewards a lot quicker too. Even with Team Foundation getting a multiplayer to try and make sure we don’t miss out on a ton of content because of the Rock’s overwhelming unpopularity as a Fortnite skin. It’s a one-horse race even with Epic’s thumb on the scales.
