The Fortnite Showdown teaser has just been released by Epic. A new look at the season that’s coming soon. With a countdown revealed for when you can join Chapter 7 Season 2. If you’ve been looking at the Fortnite lore lately, this trailer might have filled in a few gaps or teased some characters at least. We’re looking at a brand-new storyline which will bring us from Chapter 7 Season 1 into Season 2.
A little late, but the teaser is another clear look at the next season of Fortnite. Right now, we’re awaiting the end of the season without much coming in updates. Even the skins in the item shop that are getting trailers have their backdrops on next season’s maps. But with the Ice King Fortnite skin for the next season shown off, we’ve learned quite a bit about the Fortnite Showdown season that’s coming. This is what we know so far.
With the trailer shown off, we have a clear idea about what’s coming next season! the teaser is hinting at some major Fortnite lore details for the new season as well as showing off a new/old POI that’s coming back to the map.
The trailer was dropped today, showcasing a few key skins. In the teaser, we see these frozen up in ice. However, the trailer has also confirmed the sub title or Fortnite Season theme for the new season. It’ll be Fortnite Showdown.
It’s all hinting at a big showdown coming in C7 S2. But we don’t have a clear idea of the items coming with the seasonal theme. Instead, it seems to be a trailer for the villain of the season.

The new trailer for Fortnite Showdown shows off a few key details we can expect soon. it starts in the familiar Ice King Palace from OG and C1 Fortnite seasons. He then walks past a number of ice blocks showcasing some skins
There’s the golden skeleton, along with a new skin for Captain America. Which will make the third or fourth Captain America skin. Then the Foundation. This was a skin important for Fortnite lore at one point, including in flipping the island over to its Chapter 3 side.
Going by the sub-title, the Ice King and Foundation will return in Fortnite Showdown. That’s the set up for the new season. Presumably whatever happened to the Foundation off-screen to get him into ice will be reversed with the two of them having a showdown next season.

That’s what we’ve seen so far, but is the Fortnite Showdown trailer teasing a live event coming at the end of the season? It doesn’t look like it. The trailer is a little vague but it’s definitely teasing the new season and not a live event.
The title and set up for a lore development does feel like an event, but it is for the new season. The countdown to the end of the Fortnite season is for downtime. There won’t be a live event once it ends like in the past when we’ve had a countdown.
