Will the Fortnite Season ending live event actually happen this season? That’s a time in the schedule where we often see things happen in Fortnite lore. From the current season’s storyline wrapping up to the next starting off. But when is the next Fortnite live event? This season has been a little more lore heavy. However, if you’re still hoping for the Fortnite season ending live event, it might be bad news. There’s a “story moment” coming. But not a proper live event.

Right now, Epic has been laying it on thick with the lore. It’s been an element that players missed in recent seasons. Between matchmaking issues, FNCS on pause, and now the roundly hated V-Buck changes, Epic’s been after some good news. Which means we’ve had earlier reveals for a ton of the new season content. Including lore set-up. But when is the next Fortnite live event?

While the game has had a live event to move us through till next season, it’s timing got complicated. We’ve actually already had the Fortnite season ending live event. Although, that doesn’t mean we’re not expecting anything in the future. This is how the Fortnite season ending live event is going to happen this time and when we’re expecting the next Fortnite live event to happen.

Fortnite Story Moment Coming Saturday

The full Fortnite live event isn’t lined up right now, but we are getting a Fortnite “Story moment” on Saturday March 14th. The exact details of this aren’t clear but it’ll be a small scene to progress the story forward. It’ll take place on Saturday, so keep an eye out in-game for what the Dark Voyager is up to.

In the current Fortnite season, we’ve had some development for a storyline. Establishing a new through-line building on older characters and themes instead of the more random approach we’ve had over Chapter 6 and 5. But will it close out with a live event? The answer is a little complicated. Because of the delays that we’ve seen, the answer is kind of yes and no.

The game did get a Fortnite season ending live event. but the season end date got delayed quite a bit too. The whole thing turned into a bit of a mess.

Initially, we saw the Voyager live event happen in-game without any prior warning. However, fans complained. Most people missed it since the only warning we got was that a power hour was happening. So Fortnite re-ran the live event a little while later. It got two runs so more people could take part.

One was inexplicably early. The second however was properly advertised and it was when the season was originally going to end. It lines up that this was supposed to be the initial airing, on the Fortnite season end date. Which if we had kept to the initial schedule, this would have been the Fortnite season ending live event.

But since the whole season has been thrown off schedule, that’s not the case anymore. Things got messy with the delays.

The current one has finished up for the season, but what’s next up? Our next Fortnite live event will most likely be in the next season. That begins on March 19th. However, we rarely get Fortnite live events in the opening weeks. it’s much more likely to be coming towards the end of the season. The Fortnite season live event probably won’t happen until June.

Although, we have had some big and poorly received news lately. Epic might end up dropping a live event a little sooner if the player numbers get really bad. Fortnite’s in a weird spot right now. The player count is dropping hard and they’ve significantly cut back on V-Buck amounts to make the game much worse monetized. More money out of less players, but frustrating everyone still here. If they hasten the decline through this, they might end up bring live events forward.

In the past, where the game has fallen of hard, Epic pulls out various things to try and get people back. Live events are major draws and could be moved forward if things go badly. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

At the moment, the most likely date for the net Fortnite live event is towards the end of the season. We don’t know exactly when that will be, or the answer to when is the next Fortnite live event. But it should be around late June. Moving us into the Summer season. With next season focusing on the lore more, the live event that’s coming could have a big impact.
