What’s changed in today’s Fortnite patch notes? it’s not a new Fortnite season, but there’s been quite a bit of new content. There’s new Star Wars skin, new weapons, and other changes. The Fortnite patch notes are on the smaller side compared to some recent updates like Act 2 of the current season. But there is some new content to liven things up. This is what’s changed with today’s Fortnite patch notes:

There are some new weapons coming for Battle Royale. The one that’s debuted initially in the Cube Splitter SMG. This one is kind of similar to the Cube Rifle in the Fortnite Reload loot pool. it shoots out little cubes, which then explode. In SMG form it’s a strange addition.
The other major new item is the Infinity Blade. This was part of Season 7 of Fortnite Chapter 1. But this season we’re getting a reworked version of it. it adds even more power like sprinting. It’s going to unlock once players pass a milestone in the Showdown leaderboard. it’ll probably be a disruptive presence in games that gives 1 player a win, like the boss transformations.

A new POI has been added into the Fortnite map this season. This is an Elite landmark. It’s somewhere that’s tying into Fortnite lore at the moment. it’s a pretty generic base in terms of how it’ll impact gameplay. It’s a fun addition though. The Fortnite patch notes aren’t entirely focused on the Battle Royale mode though.
One of the least surprising additions is the Fortnite Star Wars 2026 event starting. We’re getting two different Clone Wars skins, adding new versions of Ashoka and Anakin. These will be in the store from tomorrow.

The latest map to get added to Reload in the Elite Stronghold. However, that’s going to change in these Fortnite patch notes.
Right now, the Fortnite Reload elite Series is starting its last qualifier. it’s switching over to this new map too. Players are frustrated given it’s such a last-minute change. Some changes are being made to accommodate it, but they’re aren’t coming yet. We’ll likely see some smaller changes pushed out at we get closer to Fortnite esports events using the map though.
One of Epic’s side Battle Royale modes is getting a new update in the Fortnite patch notes. This will be called Oathbound. it’s adding a ton of items associated with the Chapter 4 Season 1 Fortnite theme. There will be the Ex-Caliber Rifle and Shockwave Hammer.

With a new update, players will be able to set up custom matches. there’s tons of different options here like the time of day, the health of enemies, and more. it’ll make content creation a lot easier.
That’s everything that’s changed so far. Like with other updates this season, we’ll be waiting until a milestone in the Showdown is reached for a lot of the content to unlock. Bu since Epic is applying multipliers all the time, it’ll probably release at the same time regardless of what players do in-game.
