Fortnite Crew V-Bucks are finally getting pulled back after that initial announcement. This is one element of the V-Bucks price increase that we first learned about at the end of the last season. Every other change is live. But as more months ran on, we’ve not had confirmation about Crew. The official marketing still talks about 1,000 V-Bucks. We’ve finally found out the timeline though. The Fortnite Crew V-Bucks are getting pulled back in June.

This move is the latest in a line which has made Crew a less fantastic deal. At one point, it got you all the passes, then the unique skin, and the V-Bucks once per month. However, other times we have seen it rowed back. With the recent V-Buck changes being the end of the most generous form of Crew. Although, leakers are suggesting yet more passes are coming instead. This is what’s changing and when.
After the other price changes have already come into effect, Epic has just announced that the last is rolling out. The changes to the Fortnite Crew V-Bucks were first announced alongside the other price hikes. however, they took a lot longer to arrive. Now, Epic has released a flashy new trailer for the pass and clear information on what’s changing.
Epic is going to reduce the number of V-Bucks players get from the subscription. It’s going to mean you get 800 V-Bucks per payment, not 1,000.
The V-Bucks in Crew has always worked differently to everything else. Players get the new skin after a month ends… but the V-Bucks once per payment. This stops players doubling up with their Crew V-Bucks. It’s getting less generous now too.
Bringing it down to 800 moves it in line with the other new V-Buck pricing. Crew has always been a better deal than buying V-Bucks, but with the reduction it’s slightly less of a good deal. The main selling point for a while has been all of the passes. leakers say that could be changing soon too. When will the Fortnite Crew V-bucks get moved around though?

The Fortnite Crew subscriptions still going to give the same number of V-Bucks for a little while. But it’ll be changing on June 6th 2026.
Why this random date? Having it mid-month just seems to encourage double dip timing out a Crew Pass. It’s to coincide with the Fortnite season end date right now. The Fortnite Crew V-bucks will be changing for Chapter 7 Season 3.
Fortnite Crew is getting a reduction, but we might see something which does improve it’s value to make up for it. Fortnite leakers are talking about two potential new passes. Although, neither seems like a particularly good deal.
The first is a Ranked Pass. This would be a new Battle Pass tied to the Ranked mode. probably an alternative to the Ranked reward cosmetics so you have to pay for them. If Fortnite Ranked wasn’t already dead, this might tip it over the edge. This is supposedly being worked on for Ranked 2.0 so it could be a long way away.

The other talked about by leakers is apparently linked to Save the World. Both would add a bit more to Crew.
Although, it is becoming a bit of a different deal. The Battle Pass has a lot to offer players. Every other pass? not so much. If you want one of the skins, you get the Pass. Otherwise, it’s pretty much just full of junk. With the other Passes only having a single skin in some cases, it’s unlikely every Crew subscriber gets much out of unlocking it.
Every time Epic adds a Pass, it feels like the game just gets the same amount of content but spreader thinner. We have to grind more, pay more in V-Bucks, for the same outcome as before.
A Ranked Pass in particular feels misguided. A Ranked mode should incentivie grinding for the fun of getting a high rank… adding a pass feels like admitting competitive Fortnite can’t be made fun on a wide level. So even greater play time is demanded from the cosmetic collectors to make it up.
The Fortnite Crew V-Bucks getting nerfed is a disappointment. Even if we get more passes, the value of the pack has changed. The endless of passes of cosmetics you’ll only archive just isn’t as much of a bargain anymore. Crew could see a big of a drop in engagement from players once it comes into effect.
