Epic announced Monday it will be hosting a Fortnite Celebration Cup February 15th and 16th exclusive for PlayStation 4 players.

Fortnite tournaments tend to be dominated by PC players but the newly announced tournament gives console players a chance to shine.

On February 15th players will need to make it to the top 50% percent of their regional leaderboard to secure at least one of the exclusive in-game items. The top 50% will receive the “Take Cover” spray, top 25% percent will get the “Wild Accent” Pickaxe, and the top 5% will secure the exclusive “Tango” Outfit.

Players will be ranked on their performance in matches and earn points based on eliminations and placements. Here is a breakdown of the point system:

Victory Royale: 10 points
2nd-5th place: 7 Points
6th-15th place: 5 points
16th-25th place: 3 points

Eliminations: 1 Pont

Tiebreakers will be determined by overall wins, eliminations, survival time, and a coin flip if needed.

The stakes will be higher on the second day of the Celebration Cup because players will be playing for actual prize money, not items. Players will need to make it to the top 1000 players to receive a piece of the $1,000,000 prize pool in their region. Prizes range from $2,500 for first place to $200 for 501st-1000th place.

To compete in the Fortnite Celebration Cup players will need a level 15 account and 2-Factor Authentication enabled on their Epic Games account. Players can find more information on the competition under the “Compete” tab in the in-game menu.
