David “Parker” Nicho Flores will play at PGL Wallachia Season 7 as the substitute for Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko, as announced by Tundra Esports via their official social media channels earlier today.

Pure will be unable to attend the tournament in Bucharest, Romania due to visa issues, leaving Tundra without a carry player for the event until now.
To say that Parker is a controversial and polarizing figure in the professional Dota 2 scene would be a massive understatement. He is notorious for not being the most patient professional player out there, as evidenced by his abrupt abandonment of paiN Gaming at DreamLeague Season 28 just a few weeks ago. He definitely isn’t afraid of whatever backlash or consequences his actions could lead to, and it’s clear that he marches to the beat of his own drum.

On the other hand, his insane skill as a player cannot be denied, either. He was easily the biggest reason why HEROIC even won PGL Wallachia Season 1 nearly two years ago. Parker is gifted mechanically and in terms of game sense, which would explain why teams continue to take him on as a member of their roster despite his laissez-faire attitude to being a pro.
Tundra Esports is not the first to take Parker under their wing knowing all the caveats that come with doing so, and this organization is certainly not going to be the last.
That said, Tundra is one of the most successful esports organization as far as Dota is concerned — and I can’t imagine that they’ll be more forgiving of Parker should he choose to turn his back on them in the middle of the tournament.
Fortunately for them, PGL Wallachia Season 7 is a LAN event, which means that Parker will be there physically. He can’t just up and refuse to log into his Dota account in Bucharest; he’ll have to contend with the fact that Tundra manager Noah “Th3RealJP” Eigenheer will be there to literally drag him to the PGL studio if necessary.
There’s not gonna be much escape for him if Tundra don’t get the results they’re looking for.
