The International 14 playoffs are well underway with some huge upsets and for those in attendance, you have the chance to receive a Treasure of the Crimson Witness for every day that you attend. These treasures can be redeemed for skins in the Dota client or sold on the community market for probably more than you spent on the ticket. So whatever you choose to do with your drops, here’s how to make sure you don’t miss out.

How to Activate Crimson Witness 2025

How to get Treasure of the Crimson Witness 2025

If you’ve attended any of the playoffs days so far, you’ll know that each day, you can collect a commemorative pin badge outside the arena from one of the tents. Here’s what to do:

  • Head into the tent and show your ticket to the distributor.
  • Once it has been scanned, collect your lanyard and pin badge.
  • On the back of the lanyard, there is a QR code and a 16 digit code written at the bottom (it can be a bit difficult to see)
  • Scan the code with your phone (or go to this link) and enter the code.
  • Select “Link Steam Account”.
  • Log into your Steam account and link the code to your account.

First blood triggers drops

Once you’re all done, it’s simply a case of waiting. Each time there’s a first blood, you’ll have a chance to receive a Treasure. You should get an email within a few minutes of first blood happening every game if you’ve received one.

To claim the drop, all you need to do is open the game and the drop will appear in your account. Ez!

Only 5 heroes have Crimson Witness skins this year. You’ll receive one at random with each of the drops you receive out of Hoodwink, Phantom Lancer, Lion, Sand King and Riki. If none of those take your fancy, you can sell your drops, it’s definitely worth the effort!
