FaZe Clan Welcomes Back Karrigan to CS:GO Roster

Craig Robinson

FaZe Clan Karrigan is back as the organization has confirmed his return to the roster. The return means Karrigan brings his capabilities as an in-game leader back to the FaZe Clan, last playing with the team in December 2018.

Karrigan has spent the last few years competing on mousesports as the team’s IGL. He enhanced young stars like Robin “ropz” Kool while promoting David “frozen” Čerňanský from an unknown player to international stardom. The mousesports side had its ups and downs but ultimately peaked in Winter 2019-2020 with several back-to-back trophies before the online era began. Since the online era, mousesports has failed to muster the talent we knew them as. Karrigan managed to rally the troops briefly at the end of 2020, but it was too little too late.

Karrigan Returns to Faze Clan

Mousesports recently announced the new in-game leader, Christopher “Nong” Dexter. The move all but confirmed the rumored departure of karrigan.

The 2021 roster of FaZe Clan is vastly different from the last time Karrigan appeared on FaZe Clan. Gone are Olof Kajbjer “olofmeister” Gustafsson, Nikola “NiKo” Kovač, and Ladislav “GuardiaN” Kovács. Instead, Karrigan sees one of NA’s finest talents, Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken, up and comer Helvijs “broky” Saukants, and Brazillian star Marcelo “coldzera” David.

Karrigan’s reputation as an IGL means FaZe Clan is undoubtedly going to grow as a team incredibly quickly. FaZe Clan recently finished second in the BLAST Premier Spring 2021 Group, and that was without Karrigan’s leadership.

Karrigan’s first match on the roster is at one of CS:GO’s most prestigious events, IEM Katowice 2021. The roster kicks off their match at 18:00 GMT on February 18, against a to be confirmed team.
