Vitality are champions of everything, and the player break is upon us. With exactly a month until the start of IEM Cologne 2025, organizations will take this opportunity to get their CS2 rosters in order in preparation for next season. Players will be benched, transfers will be made, and teams will go again for the second half of 2025. But which teams could and will make CS2 roster changes after the BLAST Austin Major 2025?
Some moves are already in motion, with Falcons benching Magisk to sign kyousuke. Let’s take a look at some other options.

If not for the VRS, you could make the argument that NAVI could reasonably make three roster changes and be totally justified. They look stale, uninspired, and beyond saving as a lineup. They’ll definitely be making some CS2 roster changes this player break, despite reaching the Playoffs of the BLAST Austin Major. But where do you look? I reckon w0nderful and one of jL or iM are out, but it’s a total coin-flip between which of the riflers is making way.

Team Liquid are still getting to grips with siuhy as their permanent IGL, but things haven’t exactly looked pretty so far. Although NAF has been part of Team Liquid since February 2018, his time looks to be up, following a 0.83 rating over the last three months. Even after ditching jks, NAF hasn’t improved, and Team Liquid look destined to make a CS2 roster change this player break. The anchor market is rough right now, but most would be an improvement over this version of NAF, unfortunately.

A rough season for Team Spirit culminated in Playoffs disappointment at the BLAST Austin Major. It has long been rumored that they wanted to make a CS2 roster change prior to the PW Shanghai Major last year, but winning the event bought this lineup a little more time. Most likely leaving is magixx, who has struggled to find his footing for some time now. Possible replacements include Nemiga’s zweih, or someone like Magnojez. Even Perfecto represents an interesting avenue if Spirit are willing to take the chance. Alternatively, a change in leadership could also see chopper leave, although this feels less likely at this point.

Aurora feel like they’ve hit a hard ceiling of late. They can’t break through the barrier to being an elite team, despite having an excellent lineup on paper. At the start of the year, this Aurora lineup (then Eternal Fire) took a chance on jottAAA from Sangal, but things haven’t quite gone to plan. His 0.99 over the last three months is less than impressive, hindering a team with real trophy ambitions. I think the surprise benching of xfl0ud over on HEROIC could spell doom for jottAAA on Aurora, who will be on the lookout for this kind of market opportunity.

Given the fact s1mple was only signed as a stand-in for FaZe Clan, it’s pretty much guaranteed they’ll make one or more CS2 roster changes. It has been the worst of seasons for the team, who haven’t impressed at any stage of 2025. You could make the argument for any one of the four permanent members of the lineup to stand aside, really. Let’s see who they choose as their permanent AWPer, first of all.
