The Perfect World Shanghai Major is finally underway and with 2 streams running at once, it’s pretty much impossible to be able to keep track of every single game, especially if you’re in Europe like me, woke up at 1am to watch and are now suffering the consequences. So here’s a list of every match up from day 1 with all of the Shanghai Major results to keep you going!

Day 1 saw the 16 teams qualified to the opening stage play 2 best of 1 games each and if your Shanghai Major pick ’ems are still flawless, you’re a better predictor than me! Only 4 teams came out with a flawless 2-0 at the end of the day: Team Liquid, Gamer Legion, The Mongolz and Flyquest.
Here’s the full list:
| Game | Score | Map | Winner |
| Virtus.Pro vs. MIBR | 7-13 | Ancient | MIBR |
| FURIA vs. GamerLegion | 8-13 | Vertigo | GamerLegion |
| Team Liquid vs. Cloud9 | 13-10 | Ancient | Team Liquid |
| Complexity vs. Flyquest | 6-13 | Anubis | Flyquest |
| BIG vs. Passion UA | 13-9 | Mirage | BIG |
| Fnatic vs. Wildcard | 11-13 | Mirage | Wildcard |
| The MongolZ vs. Rare Atom | 13-2 | Anubis | The MongolZ |
| paiN vs. Imperial | 13-5 | Dust II | paiN |
| Fnatic vs. Cloud9 | 5-13 | Ancient | Cloud9 |
| BIG vs. Flyquest | 5-13 | Nuke | Flyquest |
| Complexity vs. Passion UA | 9-13 | Anubis | Passion UA |
| The MongolZ vs. MIBR | 13-6 | Ancient | The MongolZ |
| Virtus.Pro vs. Rare Atom | 13-4 | Anubis | Virtus.Pro |
| Team Liquid vs. Wildcard | 13-10 | Inferno | Team Liquid |
| Imperial vs. FURIA | 11-13 | Anubis | FURIA |
| paiN vs. GamerLegion | 10-13 | Nuke | GamerLegion |
There was an alright spread of the maps on day one but the most surprising part to me is that not one of these games went to overtime. Sure, Fnatic vs. Wildcard and Imperial vs. FURIA both went the distance but there was no true nail biting final rounds but I guess that’s be to expected on day 1.
Every team is going to have to play at least one more series before they can qualify to the elimination stage, where they’ll meet 8 more teams waiting in the wings. Perhaps we’ll see a Spirit vs. Passion UA grudge match from the RMRs. It’s definitely not entirely off the table.
And well, that overtime request materialized soon enough on Day 2 with the FURIA-Wildcard match. The second day of a Major stage always brings a rollercoaster of emotions, with two teams qualifying flawlessly while two others face the excruciating end of their winless campaigns at the Major.
This time, it was The MongolZ and Liquid on one side of the spectrum, and fnatic and Imperial on the other. Speaking of The MongolZ, the day also marked another significant milestone in Asian CS history, as The MongolZ secured an Elimination Stage slot, while the home team, Rare Atom, flirted with elimination.
Without further ado, let’s dive into the day’s results.
| Game | Score | Map (s) | Winner |
| MIBR vs. Passion UA | 5-13 | Mirage | Passion UA |
| BIG vs. Virtus.Pro | 13-11 | Vertigo | BIG |
| paiN vs. Cloud9 | 13-11 | Anubis | paiN |
| FURIA vs. Wildcard | 16-14 | Vertigo | FURIA |
| Liquid vs. FlyQuest | 2-1 | Inferno, Anubis, Nuke | Liquid |
| Rare Atom vs. fnatic | 2-1 | Ancient, Inferno, Vertigo | Rare Atom |
| Complexity vs. Imperial | 2-0 | Inferno, Ancient, Nuke | Complexity |
| The MongolZ vs. GamerLegion | 2-0 | Mirage, Anubis | The MongolZ |
The Shanghai Major keeps delivering, and we’re still in the Opening Stage. The third day delivered a moment for the ages as FalleN finally bested TabseN after an eight-year standoff Rare Atom’s valiant struggle met its end, Cloud9 exited in dismay after a performance that will undoubtedly sting, and Virtus.pro squandered their last opportunity to advance.
FlyQuest’s stunning 2-0 now feels like a distant memory as they teeter on the edge of elimination. Best-of-threes are the ultimate crucible, and while teams like Complexity may flourish, there will be others like FlyQuest who flounder.
| Game | Score | Map (s) | Winner |
| Wildcard vs. Virtus.Pro | 2-1 | Ancient, Inferno, Anubis | Wildcard |
| GamerLegion vs. Passion UA | 2-1 | Inferno, Mirage, Ancient | GamerLegion |
| FlyQuest vs. paiN | 0-2 | Vertigo, Inferno | paiN |
| Cloud9 vs. Complexity | 0-2 | Vertigo, Ancient | Complexity |
| Rare Atom vs. MIBR | 1-2 | Inferno, Anubis, Ancient | MIBR |
| BIG vs. Furia | 1-2 | Nuke, Mirage, Dust2 | Furia |
In just a couple of hours, we set sail for the final three matches, as six teams vie for the remaining Elimination Stage. Among BIG-Complexity, MIBR-FlyQuest, and Wildcard-Passion UA, three teams will join the likes of the G2, Vitality, and Spirit.
