A swift day of Counter-Strike at PGL Bucharest 2026 saw every single match finish in a straightforward 2:0 affair. Not only were the games straight sweeps, but there was very little in the way of surprises when it came to the winners and losers from today’s games, as three more Playoff spots were locked in.

With a Playoffs berth on the line, JW‘s EYEBALLERS couldn’t make it count as they lost 13:7 and 13:9 to MIBR. The majority-Brazilian lineup had insani firing on all cylinders, allowing MIBR to make quick work of this one on Mirage and Anubis.
It was quick starts out of the gate that won this series for MIBR. EYEBALLERS couldn’t get a foothold in either map, falling to losing first halves in both maps. From there, the real damage was already done. They’ll have another chance to reach the Playoffs in tomorrow’s 2:2 bracket, but for now, EYEBALLERS’ fate hangs in the balance at PGL Bucharest 2026.

The MongolZ were able to complete a 2:0 sweep over Wildcard, but that scoreline perhaps doesn’t reflect how close this series was. As big favorites, you can only ask The MongolZ to beat the team in front of them, but they were made to work every step of the way by a spirited Wildcard showing.
Wildcard’s Dust2 map pick required all 24 rounds to find a winner, a devastating team flash in the final round making all the difference to allow The MongolZ to get over the line. Nuke was a little more straightforward, a 13:8 win where in-game leader bLitz took the bull by the horns and carried his team to victory.

In terms of upsets today, the only significant surprise came between PARIVISION and 3DMAX. Jame‘s team were favorites to win the entire event in our PGL Bucharest 2026 Power Rankings, but PARIVISION are now in real danger of being eliminated before the Playoffs after a 2:0 loss to 3DMAX.
Is it the pressure that is getting to them? Maybe. But PARIVISION did not look themselves on map one of Inferno, losing their opponents’ map pick 13:9 on the back of a deeply unimpressive CT side. Dust2, their own pick, was a total re-run, another 13:9 victory for the French roster.

Given the relatively weak field at PGL Bucharest 2026, NRG might be wishing they had been able to show a better face at this event. Instead, it was elimination at the hands of Legacy, who completed a 2:0 win to live to fight another day.
The damning thing for NRG is that this wasn’t even close. Two 13:6 maps on Dust2 and Inferno were comprehensive, and the difference in fragging firepower made this an impossible battle. For context, Legacy‘s lowest fraggers were saadzin and dumau with 27 kills apiece. NRG’s HIGHEST was br0, who only managed 22. Counter-Strike can be a simple game at times, and when there’s such a stark difference in how much you’re killing your opponents and vice versa, there’s only going to be one outcome.

Inner Circle vs. B8 had all the hallmarks of a banger matchup. Two young and fully Ukrainian teams with everything to prove, and elimination on the line at PGL Bucharest 2026. Of the two, B8 have a little more experience over Inner Circle, and that proved to be the difference in yet another 2:0 series.
Dust2 went the distance, another 24-round match from today’s games. There, it was 16-year-old AWPer s1zzi who made the difference for B8, impressing under pressure despite his age. And while his impressive form continued into the 13:6 Mirage, it was kensizor who would steal the headlines with an excellent 20:14 display. In truth, it was a disappointing showing from Inner Circle, who have tons of potential but just need more experience to show it in the future.

At a certain point, you have to ask what the point of this BC.Game roster is. Another Tier 1 event, this time with a weaker field of play, and they’ve been eliminated 1:3 at the hands of a FOKUS roster formed less than two months ago. Worse still, they never once threatened to win a map here, leaving PGL Bucharest with just a whimper.
s1mple was the only one who finished positive in this series, with 30 kills across the two maps. Despite his efforts, comprehensive 13:3 and 13:10 wins on Ancient and Overpass respectively were enough to condemn BC.Game to another miserable finish. You have to give credit to FOKUS, who, despite not having a single star name at their disposal, won the day with great fundamental CS.
With just three spots remaining in the PGL Bucharest 2026 Playoffs, the final matchups for tomorrow are as follows:
