Case Hardened Blue Gems are among the rarest knives in CS2. These knives are determined by certain patterns of the Case Hardened, particularly those with a high percentage of blue acros the skin.
The Bowie Knife Case Hardened Blue Gem patterns are some of the best in the game, due to the large size of the knife. This means that you get a lot of blue for your buck. You can find all the patterns sorted by tier below.

The Bowie Knife Case Hardened pattern 182 is the best Blue Gem. Because of the Bowie’s large size, there’s still a little bit of yellow on the tip of this knife, meaning it’s not technically a perfect Blue Gem as you can find with other CS2 knives. Still, it’s the best you can get, and as a result, the most expensive on the market.

Tier 1 Blue Gem patterns are still usually very exclusive, but the Bowie Knife Case Hardened is unique in that there is only one Tier 1 option: the 398. This is only marginally different from the best Blue Gem, with less yellow on the tip being the benefit of this one. However, you lose a chunk of blue at the very bottom of the knife, hence the lower tier.

With the Bowie Knife Case Hardened Blue Gem Tier 2 patterns, you’re still getting a lot of blue across the face of the knife. However, there are usually big sections of yellow that really bring these patterns down a tier, separating them considerably from the Tier 1 pattern.

You really start to see large amounts of yellow with the Bowie Knife Case Hardened Blue Gem Tier 3 patterns. However, these are often among the most visually interesting, as the blend of yellow and blue creates unique patterns. Before buying any of the Tier 3 patterns, make sure you inspect them all in-game. There could be a hidden (blue) gem that you prefer to the higher tiers.

I always describe the Bowie Knife Case Hardened Blue Gem Tier 4 patterns as being “baby’s first Blue Gems.” They’re a great option for players looking to pick up their first-ever Blue Gem knife, but the patterns will not be suitable for perfectionists looking to max out the amount of blue. The perk of picking up a Tier 4 Bowie Knife Blue Gem is that the prices usually aren’t too different from regular Case Hardened knives, so there’s an opportunity to snag a bargain in this tier.
The Bowie Knife Case Hardened is available in the following CS2 case:
Because it only appears in the Operation Wildfire Case, which has 12 other Bowie Knife skins available. Getting a knife in a case is rare enough – making sure it’s a Case Hardened, and then one of the Blue Gem patterns, makes the odds extremely low.
The best Bowie Knife Case Hardened Blue Gem pattern in CS2 is 182. However, it’s worth noting that the Tier 1 398 is not far away at all, and there is very little difference between the two.
It all depends on two things: tier and CS2 wear rating. Tier is the most important factor: the 182 (best Bowie Knife Blue Gem) can fetch upwards of $10,000, even in Battle-Scarred. In Factory New, the price is much higher. However, if you’re willing to compromise and settle for a worse knife tier, you shouldn’t pay too much more than the regular Case Hardened price.
There are four tiers of Bowie Knife Case Hardened Blue Gem patterns in total, plus the 182, which is in a tier of its own.
If you already own a Bowie Knife Case Hardened, you can inspect it in-game to check if it’s a Blue Gem. Simply head to your inventory, and hover over the small “I” icon in the corner of your screen. Look for the value next to Pattern Template. If that number lines up with any of the Blue Gem patterns above, then you own one.
Float value massively affects the appearance of Blue Gem Bowie Knives. Worse float makes the knives look beaten up and rusted, which makes them much less appealing to buyers. As a result, the float can also impact the price. Factory New knives are always more expensive than Battle-Scarred.
