Astralis and FUT have become the first teams to reach the Playoffs of PGL Bucharest 2026, taking the early slots via the 3:0 bracket. Flawless starts all around. On the other side of matters, FaZe and Voca were first out, both eliminated without a single win.

Astralis became the first team to reach the Playoffs of PGL Bucharest 2026, completing their 3:0 bracket run with a comprehensive victory over The MongolZ. The switch to an international roster at the dawn of the year has clearly paid dividends for Astralis, who already look more competitive than they have at any point over the last few years with phzy and ryu.

The MongolZ‘s pick of Mirage arrived first, but it was Astralis who delivered the goods. A 13:4 humbling was swift, as jabbi stepped up to deliver a 1.90-rated performance and put his team a map to the good. Ancient had the hallmarks of a more competitive affair, with The MongolZ taking an 8:4 lead into half-time. But Astralis’s CT side was unshakable, losing just one round en route to a 13:9 win. 2:0 in the series, and another chance at a trophy in the PGL Bucharest Playoffs awaits.

FUT vs. PARIVISION saw two of the PGL Bucharest favorites go head-to-head for a spot in the Playoffs. Neither team were slow out of the gate, but it was Krabeni who eventually outcalled Jame in an impressive 2:0 victory for FUT.

PARIVISION picked Dust2, as usual, and that was perhaps FUT’s most significant achievement in this series. They were able to edge out PARIVISION 13:11 on their home turf, taking an early lead. They then reduced PARIVISION to even less of a fight on Mirage with a comprehensive 13:6 victory. This was supposed to be a competitive series, and it’s a credit to FUT’s level that they made it anything but.

A miserable couple of days for FaZe has concluded with 0:3 elimination from PGL Bucharest 2026 at the hands of Inner Circle. After forfeiting their first two matches to chase their doomed IEM Cologne Major dream at HLC Belgrade PRO 2026, they again fell short against an inexperienced Inner Circle lineup in a series that never once looked too close for comfort. The humiliation ritual was complete, and this FaZe roster was one step closer to the end of the line, which must surely be incoming.

Signs of fatigue were evident out of the gate for FaZe, who lost a 10:2 half to open their map pick of Nuke. A fake comeback saw Inner Circle close it out 13:9, the damage already done. FaZe enjoyed some momentum to start map two of Mirage, but, again, a concrete CT side from Inner Circle meant another 13:9 win, securing karrigan and his team’s fate.

BC.Game staved off an embarrassing early elimination against Voca. Initially falling a map down to the North American side, s1mple and his team were able to complete the reverse-sweep to stay alive. While it feels as though BC.Game are postponing the inevitable at this point, every win counts if they’re to have any hope of making it to the PGL Bucharest 2026 Playoffs.

Although the first map of Dust2 was pretty close, Voca lost all of their momentum on Overpass and Nuke, electroNic playing particularly well as BC.Game completely the comeback. For Voca, this isn’t quite the Tier 1 debut they may have imagined, but their two map wins (with a stand-in) will inspire some confidence.
