The penultimate event of the 2024 Apex Legends circuit, the ALGS Split 1 Playoffs, begins on August 29. This tournament will determine 30 of the 40 total teams that qualify for the ALGS 2024 Championship at the start of next year. With those precious qualification spots on the line, as well as a $1,000,000 prize pool, teams will be bringing their best. Here is everything you need to know about the ALGS 2024 Split 2 Playoffs.

ALGS 2024 Split 2 Playoffs Schedule and Format
The ALGS 2024 Split 2 Playoffs begin with the Group Stage. Taking place on August 29 and 30 at 4:00 AM ET / 1:00 AM PT, the 40 teams will be split into four groups of 10. Each group will play every other group in a round robin, six-game series. The 20 teams that earn the most total points will advance to the Winners’ Bracket. As for the bottom 20 teams, they will drop down to the Losers’ Bracket.
The Bracket Stage runs entirely on August 31. This is a 12-hour day that begins at 4:00 AM ET / 1:00 AM PT. Losers’ Bracket Round 1 is first up, where the bottom 20 teams from groups play a single six-game series. The bottom 10 are eliminated, while the top 10 move on to Losers’ Round 2.
After that, the top 20 teams from groups will play the Winners’ Bracket. This is another six-game series where the top 10 move on to the Grand Finals with bonus points based on their placement. The bottom 10 here will meet up against the top 10 from Losers’ to play the Losers’ Bracket Round 2.
The final round of Bracket Stage, Losers’ Round 2, will be one last six-game series. Top 10 advance to the Grand Finals while the bottom 10 go home. Additionally, making it past this point is likely enough to qualify for the ALGS 2024 Championship.
The Grand Finals take place on September 1 at 10:00 AM ET / 7:00 AM PT. The 20 remaining teams will play a Match Point series. Teams must accrue a total of 50 points before becoming “Match Point Eligible.” Once a team reaches that 50 point threshold, winning a game will crown them as champions and end the tournament. There are no limits to the amount of games played or Match Point Eligible teams.
