One of the week’s biggest events in fighting games is Vegas Climax VI. A Vegas event for the biggest fighting games that’ll feature some major titles. Like King of Fighters, Fatal Fury City of Wolves, SF 6, Tekken, and more.
The tournament is going to be expansive! Not quite on the level of EVO, which has been running in Vegas pretty often. But locals have another major fighter to look towards here. With events running for games like 2XKO and the biggest names in fighting games. What can you expect at the event?
Vegas Climax VI is going to run over April 3-5th, with major events for most of the big fighters. It’s a tournament running at the HyperX Arena in Las Vegas. This city has been home to EVO for a little while now, so it’s no stranger to major fighting game events.
Most tournaments like this are only really as strong as their games though. Each of them will be played over the course of the weekend in a pools round followed by a bracket. These are the tournaments that are happening at Vegas Climax VI:
One of the newest games getting featured is Fatal Fury. This is a major tournament that’s going to be part of the SWC 2026 circuit. Only Master 2 tier, but it’s an important part of that ongoing circuit.
Alongside Fatal Fury, King of Fighters is at this tournament too. This will also be a SWC 2026 event. Although, this event is in the Master 3 tier instead.
One older game that’s still getting featured at Vegas Climax VI is Samurai Shodown. This tournament will have a lower prize, but it’s a part of the same circuit SWC too.
Not part of any wider circuit, but a SF 6 event is happening at Vegas Climax VI! This tournament isn’t part of the Capcom Cup but still good practise for players hoping to rise up the ranks in Street Fighter 6 esports this year.
Next, we have another stand-alone tournament, Tekken 8. This will be a standard event played in pools then Double Elimination.

Finally, we have 2XKO. The Riot-made fighter will be a part of the roster. This is also a standalone tournament, a nice chance for players to get some earnings in a. newer game.
